Sharif University of Technology, despite its long history and valuable scientific and research achievements, is recognized as a pioneering and exemplary university with the highest academic reputation in the country and the region. It possesses significant and unique capacities, including distinguished academic faculty at both national and international levels and talented students.
In this regard, to assist and comprehensively promote the university, a group of philanthropists expressed their willingness, and in order to attract the participation and support of benefactors who are concerned about the development of science and technology in their homeland, the Sharif University of Technology Supporters Foundation was established and began its activities in September 2019. Currently, this foundation is operating by developing coherent programs and reviewing the processes for attracting public participation.

According to the regulations of the funds, the principal of the fund is invested by the Supporters Foundation, and only the profit from the investment is used according to the approved faculty guidelines. Supporting graduate students is one of the main areas of expenditure.​​​​​​​
